Fitness Supervisor

My Goal
My goal is to make exercise accessible and fun of people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. From those new to fitness to experienced gym participants, it’s my aim to make each visit memorable. I believe in eating for enjoyment as well as fuel; helping individuals achieve balance and well-being inside and outside of the gym is a real passion.

My Background
I have been involved in group fitness for 15 years, having been an active participant in dance classes in London before moving on to gym based exercise. Since qualifying with my first exercise-to-music fitness certification, I have taught aerobic-based classes and Zumba® in Dubai. Additionally, I have worked with personal training clients to help them achieve their health and fitness goals.

My Specialities
As well as weight lifting to achieve a strong and healthy physique, I am a huge fan of muscle relaxation techniques using TriggerPoint methodologies. I’m a certified Rehab and Muscle Activation Trainer as well as a sports massage therapist.

Fun Facts
Dubai is my second expatriate experience after spending two years in Japan as an English teacher. When I’m not in the gym, I love to read and travel.

Goal
Enjoying life is important, and focusing on helping my clients to find optimal wellness through a balance of healthy nutrition and physical activity. “The more you move, the more you progress”.

Background
I’ve been in the fitness industry for six years and continue to grow. My qualifications include PTA Global Level 3, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Kickboxing, Brazilian Jui Jit-Tsu, TRX, ViPR and RIP 60.

I’m also able to handle a crisis as an Emergency First Aider, including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR-C).

Goal
I get great satisfaction from supporting and encouraging people to achieve their goals. With my knowledge and love for sports and fitness I think it is important that sessions are fun yet productive. I believe that if it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you, so be prepared to work out of your comfort zone because this is where the magic happens.

Background
I was born and raised in England where I played various team sports from a young age such as, basketball, football and netball. I have previously played basketball at a regional level, coming 2nd place to Scotland. I moved to Dubai in 2013 where I took up ice hockey for the first time and street workouts.

Fun Facts
I am a Filipino national a mother of one. A Pharmacist in profession – Personal Trainer by choice. During my free time I love spending it with my family. I also like to indulge myself at the Spa whenever I can.

I am married and blessed with an amazing husband and son. I’m very adventurous, and love to workout, cycle and hike. As an ex-lifeguard, being in the water is my favorite pastime, from floating and sleeping in the water to long distance swimming.

My focus here is to teach and assist members with the cardio and resistance machines.

I am a qualified level 2 Fitness Instructor and am passionate about fitness – you’ll often find me working out in the gym or in one of the many GX classes we offer. I’ve taken courses in sports massage and TRX, so can help and offer advice when required.

I’ve worked at Dubai Ladies Club for ten years so feel free to ask me questions about the gym, the Wellness Centre and the Club as a whole.

My role here in Dubai Ladies Club is to teach and assist members with the cardio and resistance machines; I can also demonstrate and answer questions relating to free and body weight exercises.
